We had such a great and peaceful time at the Whispering Pines Retreat cabin! It was soooooo beautiful! The nature surround the cabin is breathtaking! The cabin itself is gorgeous! So beautifully decorated! I loved it! Our kids had a blast on the pedal boat and on the Ranger. We caught 4 little bass during our stay! And we saw 3 deers!!!! Our kids love the outdoors so this place was everything they ever wanted! We definitely would love to stay here again! The hosts were so responsive and attentive, I truly appreciated that

Absolutely beautiful property! The home was quaint, warm and welcoming. We greatly appreciated the detachment from reality and the opportunity to spend quality family time outdoors. There was plenty of activities to choose from to keep us busy. David and Theresa take great pride in being hosts and this is evidenced by the amount of detail and thought they’ve put into their home. We will definitely be back in the future.

The cabin was open and airy, and had plenty of room for our family! It had everything that we could possibly need for cooking, sleeping and entertainment! Communication with the owner was quick, accurate, and very helpful!

Whispering Pines Retreat was absolutely incredible. The attention to detail was unmatched—from multiple high-end coffee makers to choose from, to the big-ticket comforts like the hot tub and fire pit overlooking a beautifully stocked pond. The space was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The perfect balance between luxury and comfort. An unforgettable stay that exceeded every expectation. We can’t wait to return!

We were so happy to spend four nights in this beautiful cabin! The cabin was tastefully decorated, the kitchen wanted for nothing, the coffee options seemed endless, and the location was serene and quiet.  The linens were high quality and I love that they use all natural fragrances and cleaners. This one of my favorite stays ever!

Our family needed a little escape, and this cabin was absolute perfection! It was spotless, cozy, and completely private — just what we needed to unwind. My husband and I, along with our four boys (18, 8, 13, and 17), had the best time fishing for perch off the dock. There’s so much space to explore, plus a relaxing hot tub and a fire pit with chairs — perfect for roasting the s’mores David kindly provided while we shared spooky stories under the stars. The hot tub at night with only the constellations above was pure magic. The cabin’s woodland cottage charm, complete with cute mushroom details, made it feel like a fairytale. The fresh honey from their own beehive was such a special touch! We’ll definitely be coming back — can’t wait to see this place in every season!

This was our first time booking on Airbnb and it did not disappoint! We went with friends for our son's 10th birthday and had the best time ever! The area is beautiful and the house was fantastic! Everything was clean and neat, but also felt like home. The kids had the best time fishing, exploring, and hot tubbing while the adults relaxed. We also loved to be able to ride our side x side on the trails to take in the area and see the wildlife. We even had an owl sighting! We went to see the beehives and tried out the local honey which was delicious! We even bought some to bring home. Our catchphrase for the weekend became "they really thought of everything!" Anytime we needed something there it appeared like magic, the little touches provided by the hosts really made a difference! The kids have already asked to come back!

We absolutely loved our little getaway to this amazing cabin getaway. We enjoyed the secluded location, evening walks, fishing in the pond, ALL the coffee making options and just the peace and quiet this property offers. We will definitely make a return trip to this amazing place in the near future! David went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had. My husband and I enjoyed a couple days at this beautiful property. It was a lovely escape from our busy life. This home is thoughtfully decorated, and makes you feel right at home! For us, this was the perfect weekend getaway to relax and slow down. We are looking forward to bringing our kids back to this charming retreat to enjoy the lake and walking trail.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful home and property nestled in the heart of deep East Texas! This dwelling—and the love poured into it—made it feel like home. The peaceful property is breathtaking, with a pond, woods and land to explore, a spacious, ambient firepit, clear and starry nights, and the sights and sounds of nature. And that's just the beginning! Inside, Whispering Pines is full of personal touches, beautiful decor, and well-placed amenities. Thoughtful details include live plants, pleasant lighting, a book-filled reading nook, all-natural soaps and toiletries, and path lights that guide you in the dark. The kitchen is fully stocked, and the coffee bar felt like a private café—my personal favorite! Though the home and property are stunning on their own, the thoughtful touches make this a truly unique Airbnb. Hosts David and Theresa are kind, attentive, and make absolutely every effort to ensure a special stay. There is no hesitation in saying this is a solid 10/10!❤️

Driving back a dirt road we didn’t quite know what would be around the corner but when we saw this cabin and the pond with the fire pit stocked with wood and café lights over top, we knew this was going to be a great stay. The house is beautiful. The beds are comfortable. The toilets have bidets. French press coffee. A hot tub. A beautiful weber grill. We really only needed to pack our clothes and toiletries and food because everything else was there. Now that we are home my wife wants bidets for our toilets and a hot tub. Thanks for that David. Ha ha. Our biggest takeaway was that we did not watch TV and our kids weren’t on tablets. They learned the love of fishing catching crappy off the dock. We paddled around the pond on the kayak and the canoe, looking for frogs in the moss. Jumping off the dock and swimming was refreshing. We had a fire every night under the café lights and roasted s’mores that were also provided. If you’re thinking of booking, please do it!

Awesome cabin in a super quiet, private spot by a pond. Perfect for fishing, hiking, and just hanging out in nature. The owner was amazing—drove over an hour just to help us out with something. Really went above and beyond. We had a great time and would definitely come back.

We stayed for the weekend and had a great time doing so. The dock was perfect for fishing and jumping in the lake. There is plenty of space to walk around and enough distance from neighbors to play loud music without disturbing anyone. The fire pit was easy to start and brought a cozy vibe to the end of our nights. The indoor space was super clean and very thoughtfully decorated. Overall, it's a fantastic getaway spot.

This was by far the best stay we’ve had using VRBO or any other vacation rental company. The best thing about the property is it very private and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The house is beautiful and spacious the pond is full of fish and the fire pit is just a perfect spot to hang out! David is an awesome host answering all my questions very fast and the occasional check in is nice too! I give this place a very high rating the only complaint I have is we ran out of time!

What a wonderful place! The host was extremely responsive, accommodating, and truly holds the guest experience with the highest regards! From fishing in the pond all day long, to relaxing in the hot tub at night; this property has everything (and more) that you need for a quiet getaway from the city life! The views all around the property were stunning and the sunsets were picturesque! We enjoyed seeing the native plants, flowers, trees, birds, and wildlife on our explorations. We had an absolutely wonderful time and can't wait to go back!

This place was absolutely fantastic! Even more beautiful in person than the pictures show. The hot tub was relaxing. Everything was so clean and easy to find. Fishing was a blast! Caught 2 bass and tons of crappie. So peaceful being secluded out there with all the sounds of nature around you. Traveling with my special needs son can be unpredictable, however this trip was by far one of the most successful family outings we’ve had in a long time. The accommodations and amenities were top tier. We are already looking forward to return in the future. I also absolutely loved the nespresso machine! Having the decaf option was also a bonus for me. The host responded fast as well with any questions we had. 10/10 for sure. Thanks again for the amazing Airbnb experience!
